We are thrilled to share that we just completed and opened the new mess hall for our Community Health Worker Training School. The construction which began in early 2023 was not without its challenges tho.
A significant hurdle arose from the delays and downscaling of materials due to unforeseen complications with the barge responsible for transporting them.
Despite these setbacks, our team, with the support of Kapuna management and our partner TotalEnergiesPNG remained committed to the project, embracing each challenge as an opportunity for growth.
At the heart of this success story, lies in the incredible craftsmanship of our Kapuna builders. Many of these skilled individuals received their training during the reconstruction of the hospital, and the mess hall represents their first major project since then.
Their dedication, experience, and unwavering commitment to excellence shines through in every corner of this impressive structure.
As the mess hall now stands proudly on the grounds of our Community Health Worker Training School, it symbolises not only a physical space but also the fact that we can trust our father in heaven to provide the right people and the outside help we needed.
The mess hall will play a vital role in fostering a sense of community among the students, providing them with a space to share meals and build relationships that will undoubtedly contribute to the success of their training and their futures.
